Mr. Moshiur Rahman, the Chairman of Special Olympics Bangladesh (SOBD), is a distinguished entrepreneur and business leader with a strong presence in Bangladesh’s agro-industrial sector. His career reflects decades of experience in building sustainable enterprises and contributing to national economic development.

Mr. Rahman is a leading figure in the Bangladeshi business community and currently serves as the Managing Director of Paragon Press Ltd., Paragon Poultry Ltd., and several other companies under the Paragon Group. The group’s agro-farming operations alone achieve an annual turnover exceeding USD 100 million.

His expertise spans multiple industries, including printing and packaging, poultry and feed production, renewable energy such as solar power, and real estate. He also holds directorial positions in major organizations including Malek Spinning Ltd., Salek Textile Ltd., BD Venture Ltd., and Asia Pacific General Insurance PLC.

Mr. Rahman is actively involved in professional business networks and community initiatives, contributing significantly to youth empowerment and social development nationwide.

As Chairman of Special Olympics Bangladesh, Mr. Rahman plays a crucial role in guiding the organization’s strategic direction and ensuring the empowerment of athletes with intellectual disabilities. He oversees governance, long-term planning, and operational development.

He contributes to major initiatives such as athlete training, fundraising campaigns, and international participation including the South Asian Unified Football Tournament.

Under the leadership of the SOBD board, Bangladeshi athletes achieved remarkable success by securing 22 gold medals at the 2019 Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Rahman also chairs key board meetings, leading discussions on governance, finance, and committee formation.
