Special Olympics Bangladesh successfully conducted an Athletes Training Monitoring Program at Joypurhat Intellectual Disabilities and Autistic School, Joypurhat, on 24 August 2026.

A total of 33 athletes—boys and girls— participated in the program. The session began with an introductory speech by the team leader Mr. Shameem Al Mamun, Manager, Sports SOBD highlighting the importance and objectives of the program, including the upcoming Talent Hunt Program and National Games scheduled for November and December 2026 where athletes will have opportunities to demonstrate their talents and compete for selection to the final team.Following the introductory session, Ms. Khurshida Akhtar Khusi, Athletics Coach & Coach Developer, conducted warm-up and physical activities on the school ground. The athletes then participated in running tests in three groups: Senior Boys, Junior Boys and Girls. First, second and third-place achievers from each group were awarded prizes for their performances.
