From 09–13 July 2026, Shruti Mehta, Senior Manager – Organizational Development, and Jovina Choo, Senior Manager Sports, representing Special Olympics Asia Pacific (SOAP), visited several Special Olympics Bangladesh program sites.


During the visit, they observed the Young Athletes Program, Fitness Program, and Sports Training Program conducted at SWID Lab Model School & Beautiful Mind special school. They expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the activities, the dedication of the teams, and the enthusiasm of the athletes.


The officials also interacted with teachers, volunteers, staff members, and the families of athletes with intellectual disabilities, exchanging ideas and appreciating their commitment to building an inclusive environment. They expressed optimism for strengthening future collaboration and expanding opportunities for inclusive sports.
