Athletics and Badminton Athletics Training Held in Chapainawabganj on 30-31 july 2026.

Special Olympics Bangladesh successfully organized a two-day Athletics and Badminton Training Program 2026, combining a Coach Developer Workshop, Online Coaches Course Level 1, and practical athlete training sponsored by Gallagher, SOI at the New Zilla Stadium, Chapainawabganj. 

The Coach Developer Workshop was conducted by trained Coach Developers Ms. Khurshida Akter Khushi and Mr. Jahid Ramzan, who also conducted practical Athletics and Badminton sessions.The opening session was attended by Mr. Abu Saleh Mohammad Musa Jongi, Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj, as Chief Guest. He appreciated the initiatives of Special Olympics Bangladesh and emphasized the importance of sports in developing individuals and society.The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of local coaches and Coach Developers, improve the quality of sports training for athletes with intellectual disabilities, and expand Special Olympics activities at the grassroots level.The program was led by Mr. Shameem Al Mamun, Manager, Sports, SOBD, with support from SOBD officials and the local Special Olympics Sub-Chapter.
